ADMISSIONS

TUITION AND FEES

We share with you this chart outlining our 2024-2025 education programs (On-Line, Microschooling, Blended Learning, Full-Time), as well as the yearly tuition for each. While we currently offer our programs to Preschool until 2nd Grade students, we intend to add a grade level to each program each school year thereafter.  Grow with us!

In the interest of transparency, we discuss below the tuition for our Full-Time program.

FULL-TIME PROGRAM

For the 2024–2025 school year, our Full-Time Program tuition is $6,000 per student per year, plus additional fees, such as for uniforms and field trips. This amount is generously subsidized from the regular tuition by our school’s home parish, St. Vladimir Orthodox Church parish, and will be in effect up until and including the 2026–2027 school year. This subsidized amount is available to all students registered in our Full-Time Program during the years in which the subsidy is in effect.

As a non-profit organization, we at the Ann Arbor Orthodox Classical Academy (A2OCA) strive for financial transparency in all aspects of our community life. We believe that transparency builds confidence and grows commitment, and thus we will strive, to the greatest extent possible, to share the reality of our financial position at all times.

We have intentionally set tuition lower than the true cost per student to make an A2OCA education more accessible to more families. There are discounts available for multiple children from the same family. Each family chooses whether to pay tuition in a lump sum or in installments. This will be arranged before the beginning of the school year with each family.

It is understood that even at the subsidized tuition of $6,000, this may be too much for some families to pay, while other families may be able to pay the $6,000 dollars or more with no trouble. We are committed to making it possible for each family that would like to send their child(ren) to our school to be able to do so – no matter their financial reality. Thus, we urge those families that can pay $6,000 to do so, and we equally urge those who are unable to pay $6,000 to apply for tuition assistance. All scholarships are based on financial need.

Each school year it is understood that there will be a deficit between cost per student and tuition payments, so we organize fundraising opportunities in order to break even. Financial discipline is important in our early years, so that we can grow to be financially sustainable. Over time we aim to build up A2OCA’s reserves to allow us more financial flexibility, but in our first few years we will not have the reserves to rely on and thus must break even each year. We hope to make a profit so that we can reinvest it into our school to offer our students the best in facilities and curriculum, develop our faculty, and give more student scholarships.

In addition to tuition, each family (not each student) is asked to invest sweat equity of 20 volunteer hours per trimester at A2OCA. For those who are not able to offer such volunteer work, a donation of $1,000 per trimester can replace this time commitment or other arrangements can be made with the Head of School. Another option is to combine volunteer hours and a donation. Each volunteer hour is equivalent to $50/hour, so we leave the exact ratio of sweat equity to donation to each family, and we will do our best to assist families to fulfill this requirement by helping to monitor donations and hours. These initiatives are in place not only to financially sustain the operation of our school (for now and future generations), but to, also, support and foster positive relationships amongst all members of the school community.

For more information on tuition, we invite you to view our 2024-2025 Application and Tuition Contract.

Not included in school tuition is the cost of a field trips, as well as school uniforms and athletic dress for each student (which can be purchased from our supplier; more information is provided to families upon enrollment). Families that require financial assistance to invest in school clothing are asked to contact us as soon as possible to discuss assistance options. Field trips are incorporated into the life of our school. In some cases there may be a small fee associated with these outings. Information will be shared with families in this regard as early as reasonably possible preceding the field trip.

If you are interested in offering your child(ren) the type of education that is fulfilling, challenging, and Christ-centered, all within the classical education tradition, we welcome you to reach out to us and to join us at A2OCA. We are dedicated to doing what we can to help make an A2OCA education financially accessible for you and your family.

We thank you for your interest and pray that God keeps you and your family healthy and safe, always!

In Christ,

TUITION ASSISTANCE

TUITION ASSISTANCE

We wish to make an education at Ann Arbor Orthodox Classical Academy financially accessible to all who wish to make the academy a part of their and their children’s lives. To this end, tuition assistance is available for qualifying families.

If you intend to apply for tuition assistance, please indicate this on your application and you will be notified when the application for tition assistance becomes available for you to complete.  Please note that a tax form is to be submitted with your tuition assistance application to help determine the amount awarded to each family.

The amount that each family qualifies for will be determined based upon the financial situation of the family and the tuition assistance funds that are available during the school year being applied for.

We encourage all families who support the A2OCA mission to apply to join our Academy family, and we look forward to welcoming you and your child(ren) here!
